Darbari Lal DAV Model School, ND Block, Pitampura, Delhi, received the ISA Award in
the British Council School Awards Ceremony held
at Kolkata and attended by delegates of different
countries across the globe. The award
accredits and celebrates schools for excellence in embedding an international dimension in their curriculum and ethos and
opening up their classrooms to the possibilities of international working. Acknowledging
the award, Principal, Mrs. Anita Wadehra conveyed that ISA was pivotal in
strengthening understanding and relations between countries and building
cohesion in and between our own communities. She congratulated all the teachers
involved and Teacher Coordinators Mrs. Reeta Maheshwari and Ms. Neeta Chhabra
for their tireless efforts in planning and implementing international
activities in different classes throughout the year and collaborating with overseas schools to create a rich
learning experience for students through use of ICT, creative pedagogical
practices and real context for learning. School Chairman, Shri Shrideep
Omchery, Vice President, DAVCMC congratulated the Principal and staff members
and expressed hope that the award would help fulfil educational objectives of
language learning, raising standards and literacy and to live out the guiding
principle of education and child care. The award consists of a certificate, a
trophy and the use of ISA logo for a period of three years.
