DLDAV Model School Pitampura celebrated 10th
Anniversary of International Day for Peace on 21st
September 2014. The theme for ENO Tree Planting Day on 21st September
2014 is "Rights of People to Peace". It
acknowledges the 30th anniversary of the General Assembly Declaration on the
Right of Peoples to Peace, with its central message that humanity’s sustainable
progress and the realization of fundamental rights and freedoms depend on peace
and security.
We at DLDAV
Model School Pitampura, have 5000 students and they are between 4 – 17 years of
age (girls and boys). Our school has many projects such as Environment Project,
Save Water project, Heritage and Environment, Helpage India, Rotary Club, Delhi
Akash, Environment and Culture of Peace, for example.
21st
September was a great ecological festivity. At 9.00 am, the members of
the Senior Student Council accompanied by student representatives from each
class along with Principal Mrs. Anita Wadehra and other teachers assembled in
the school nursery and planted trees to celebrate the ENO Tree Planting Day.
There were about 100 students and 20 teachers. We planted about 50
little trees in the school nursery. Our students expressed happiness for being
a part of ENO Programme.
